Most every new Mazda comes with a limited powertrain warranty that provides coverage in the unlikely event a repair is needed in the first few years of ownership. Along with the warranty coverage, Mazda provides roadside assistance for specific warranties. Mazda wants to ensure peace of mind to all of their drivers.
Mazda warrants that new Mazda cars and trucks will be free of defects with normal use and prescribed maintenance for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Ordinary maintenance items or adjustments, parts subject to normal wear and replacement and certain other items are excluded. This transferable “limited warranty” is included on most new Mazda vehicles sold and serviced in the United States.
Mazda warrants that the powertrain components of new Mazda vehicles will be free of defects with normal use and prescribed maintenance for 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. Ordinary maintenance items, adjustments, parts subject to normal wear and certain other items are excluded. This “Limited Warranty” is transferable during the warranty period on all new Mazda vehicles sold and serviced in the United States.
The 10 Year / 100,000 Mile Limited Powertrain Warranty begins upon the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty and will continue to cover the following components up to 120 months or 100,000 miles from the Original Date of Sale, whichever comes first. It does not cover normal wear and tear, maintenance, or those items excluded elsewhere.
The items covered by the Limited Powertrain Warranty include:
Gasoline Engine – Cylinder block, and all internal lubricated parts including; crankshaft, rod and main bearings, cam bearings, connecting rods, wrist pins, pistons, piston rings, camshaft, cam tower, lifters, cylinder head, valves and guides, valve springs, rocker arms (cam followers), pushrods, timing chain and sprockets, timing belt and pulleys, balance shafts, oil pump, fasteners for the components listed above. Excludes seals and gaskets.
Turbocharged/Supercharged/Rotary/Diesel/Enhanced Engines – All of the above listed parts or equivalent plus: turbocharger, waste gate controller, compressor, bypass valve, injection pump, lines and nozzles.
Automatic – Case and all internal lubricated parts including; oil pump, valve body, torque converter, vacuum modulator, governor, main shaft, clutches, bands, drums, gear sets, bearings, bushings, sealing rings, solenoids, fasteners for the components listed above.
Parts not listed are not covered.
Standard – Case all internal lubricated parts including; main shaft, gear sets, shift forks, synchronizers, bearings, bushings, fasteners for the components listed above.
Transfer Case – (4X4 vehicles) – Case and all internal lubricated parts including; main shaft, gear sets, chain and sprockets, bearings, bushings, fasteners for the components listed above.
FRONT WHEEL DRIVE – Final drive housing, and all internal parts including; carrier case, gear sets, chain and sprockets, bearings, bushings, axle shafts, fasteners for the components listed above.
REAR WHEEL DRIVE – Drive axle housing, and all internal lubricated parts including; carrier case, gear sets, bearings, bushings, limited slip clutch pack, axle bearings, fasteners for the components listed above.
Lifetime towing is provided within 25 miles back to Mazda of Elk Grove
